Amit Kumar, our grand prize winner, won a trip for two to Budapest, Hungary. His friend, James Boo, the winner of the “Menudo” category traveled with Amit from June 6th through the 14th. The trip included a stay at the Lánchid 19 Hotel and an interview on tv2’s Aktív program. When asked to reflecto on his experience in Budapest, Amit called it the “most surreal, awesome adventure” of his life, expressing his newfound love for the extroverted Hungarian people and the calming pace of life in Budapest. Thanks to Lánchid 19 Hotel for their generous support! |
"Who knew you could achieve international fame by growing a mustache? Though the 'stache isn't as popular as it once was, Hungary is still a great place for a mustachioed traveler. I felt a kinship with the heroes of yore, who you see everywhere, like on the money and as statues all around the city. And I'll never forget the train ride when a bunch of school kids on a fieldtrip recognized me, and all busted out their camera phones to take pictures of the crazy American." – Amit |
